There is a lot left to be desired by free internet TV providers all over the world. If one wants to have free satellite TV on his or her computer the very first requirement will be a very fast computer and a faster internet connection. An internet connection with no limits to the amount of down loading one can do is just great for this kind of entertainment, or infotainment as it is called, else there will be a great bill to pay the internet or telephone company at the end of the month. This amount could be anywhere near ten times of what a satellite TV system and monthly subscription would have cost.
Even if on had the fastest internet connection and computer there will be some amount of buffering of the video and audio to put up with. This can be very frustrating as buffering stops the smooth streaming of video and audio. This is just one of the problems of free satellite TV. If you don’t mind putting up with jerky video and inferior quality sound, go ahead and do some research on free satellite TV, make a list of stations and tune in to the programs you can tune in to.
Before writing this article I did a few days research and chatted with people who were into free satellite TV. I also downloaded some programs and checked out online streaming video from free satellite sources all over the world – frankly I was disappointed and I use a very high speed, 2 Mbps internet connection.
There are two ways to get free satellite TV on you PC. One way is to go to the site offering the free service and the other way is to download a program offered by a free satellite TV service provider. We will discuss both ways in this article.
Downloading an interface
Some sites will require you to download a program to your PC in order to view free satellite TV programs. The drawback with these programs is that you have to buy most of them. Some of them are free but then you should read through the terms and conditions very carefully. The freeware usually comes with spy ware and ad ware that will infect and slow your PC down. The mal-ware may even compromise your personal information. I tried 5 locations for free internet TV programs and all came with their set of Ad ware. The paid versions are relatively safer but with the programs you are limited to a certain number of channels from each country – most of the channels are free-to-air.
Viewing streaming video on the site
The other way to get free satellite TV is to view it straight from the site without having to download any program. Here there is a distinct disadvantage. Many of the channels that are aired cannot be enlarged. The viewer will have to be content with watching a very small screen, probably 2.5 inches by 3 inches. The channels and sites that have a provision to enlarge the picture will do so by distorting the quality of the image. So, it is not worth the trouble of enlarging the picture.
